The most prominent and amazing aspect of Iqbal's poetry is the "philosophy of self". He gave a message to man to recognize his hidden talents, develop self-confidence and change his destiny. According to him, a strong self leads man to greatness.

Iqbal considered love as the spiritual power of man while considering intellect as an essential guide. For him, love is a symbol of movement, enthusiasm and creative power. This combination gives his poetry intellectual and emotional beauty.

Iqbal taught Muslims to become one nation, transcending the differences of nationality, color, race and language. His national anthems and poems create unity and awareness among Muslims.

Iqbal appreciated the scientific progress of Western civilization but criticized its materialism and spiritual emptiness. He called the spirituality and moral values of the East essential for humanity.
