A STUDY OF THE LIMITATION OF HALAL AND HARAM FOR A TRADER IN THE LIGHT OF ISLAMIC PERSPECTIVE
Abstract
This study sheds light on the Sharia principles and regulations of trade in the light of Islamic teachings. With reference to the Quran and Hadith, it has been clarified that trade is not only the basic unit of the economy but also has the status of worship under Sharia principles. The study has examined the issues that make trade halal and pure, such as avoiding interest, fraud, adulteration, and false oaths. Furthermore, in the context of Hadiths, guiding principles have been formulated for those traders who can elevate trade to the level of worship with honesty and piety. The aim of the study is to encourage present traders to trade in accordance with Islamic principles and provide them with the principles of success in this world and the hereafter. This study will clarify how ethical principles of trade can be reconciled with today's business challenges in the light of Islamic teachings.
