Abstract

Our educated young generation lacks moral upbringing and is solely focused on worldly success. To achieve this, they often disregard ethical values. We fail to realize that nations do not decline due to a lack of wealth or resources but because of moral decay. There is no doubt that the primary responsibility lies with parents, who have become so unaware of their religious and moral duties that they do not even realize where their children are headed. Due to this lack of proper upbringing, families are emerging where there is neither respect for parents nor regard for elders. If you look at Muslim households, you will hear Islamic names, but their actions are far from Islamic teachings. This is the result of materialism. In contrast, Islam not only acknowledges the human capacity for love but also provides a pure and honourable foundation for love, friendship, and relationships. Other reasons for the moral decline in our society include widespread immorality, co-education, dishonesty, and a lack of proper guidance.

This article discusses these issues in detail and explores ways to preserve social values and moral principles.
