Impact of Teacher- Student Relationship on Classroom Management in District Bannu
Abstract
The teacher–student relationship is a vital factor in creating a positive and productive classroom environment. Strong and respectful relationships between teachers and students contribute to effective classroom management, improved student behavior, and enhanced learning outcomes. This study aimed to explore the perceptions of male teachers regarding the impact of teacher–student relationships on classroom management in District Bannu. The study employed a quantitative research design, and data were collected from male teachers through a structured questionnaire. The findings revealed that positive teacher–student relationships significantly contribute to effective classroom management by promoting mutual respect, cooperation, discipline, and student engagement. Teachers reported that students are more likely to follow classroom rules, participate actively in learning activities, and demonstrate positive behavior when they have supportive relationships with their teachers. The results further indicated that effective communication, trust, and understanding between teachers and students help reduce disciplinary issues and create a conducive learning environment. The study concludes that strong teacher–student relationships play a crucial role in maintaining classroom discipline and enhancing the overall teaching–learning process. It recommends that teachers adopt student-centered approaches, improve communication skills, and foster supportive interactions with students to strengthen classroom management and educational outcomes.
