Abstract

This study investigates the Qur’ānic discourses and attributes that pertain to communication, focusing on their relevance and application in contemporary contexts. The Qur’ān, as the primary source of guidance for Muslims, contains numerous verses that outline principles of communication—ranging from personal dialogue to broader societal discourse. Through a detailed analysis of key phrases, this research highlights how the Qur’ān emphasizes the importance of clarity, truthfulness, empathy, patience, and respect in interactions. The study examines how these attributes shape ethical communication and foster positive relationships, both within communities and between individuals. Special attention is given to the rhetorical strategies used in the Qur’ān, such as parables, direct address, and persuasive language, which facilitate understanding and encourage constructive dialogue. In addition, the study explores how these Qur’ānic principles can be applied to address contemporary communication challenges, such as misinformation, digital discourse, and cross-cultural interactions. By drawing connections between classical interpretations and modern-day communication needs, the research offers insights into how the Qur’ān continues to inform ethical communication practices in a globalized world, promoting mutual respect and understanding across diverse platforms.
