Abstract

The word “Democracy” is derived from the Arabic Language, which means something to be in abundance and high or prominent. Political experts do not agree on any definite definitional of democracy, so if a society or a state, according to its circumstances, arranges a system of government that includes the will of the people instead of an individual or a specific class, it will be called a democracy. The fundamental roles in the establishment of democracy in the world are the ideas of political thinkers and intellectuals and other revolutions that took place in America and France. In this sense, Europe is called the cradle of modern democracy. There is a difference in the opinions of ancient scholars and intellectuals regarding the system of democracy.In this regard, it is necessary to try to determine a clear path for the nation by critically evaluating the opinions of modern scholars and intellectuals related to democratic governance. So that the Islamic countries can have their leadership skills in the world by following the principles of Islam.
