Abstract

Allah Almighty has created the entire system of the universe, and food is an essential part of this system and a basic human need. However, among these foods and drinks, some are considered lawful (halal) while others are forbidden (haram), because forbidden foods are harmful to humans in terms of physical, spiritual, and religious well-being. Allah Almighty has clearly outlined the details and harmful effects of forbidden foods in His Book, the Holy Quran. According to His commands, consuming these forbidden foods is prohibited so that the purity of the human body, beliefs, dealings, and social and economic life can be preserved. This paper presents an analytical study of the socio-economic impacts of Haram foods on human life in the light of the Quran and Hadith.
