Introduction and Importance of Plants Mentioned In the Quran: A Research and Analytical Study
Abstract
The Quran is a source of knowledge and wisdom. It mentions everything in the world, even the wonders of plants that contain wisdom. In the Quran, Allah Almighty has collected knowledge of all kinds of facts that will occur until the Day of Judgment, among which plants are worth mentioning. The plants of the Quran are a special part of this universe, and this is a manifestation of the glory of Allah Almighty in the universe, where humans and other living beings have been given many blessings. At the same time, it has also been given a favorable environment and Allah has created herbs, which absorb impurities and protect the environment from various types of pollution. In this holy verse, two words have been used regarding dry and moist plants: رَتْبٍ and يَابِسٍ. رَتْبٍ means wet and يَابِسٍ means dry and moist plants. This verse is the ultimate proof of the conciseness and eloquence of the Quran. In earlier times, mankind did not know that there is a difference between male and female in plants and fruits. Today, botany has told us that there is a difference between male and female in every plant and fruit. Even in unisexual plants, there is a clear difference between male and female. If we study the books of hadiths regarding the necessity and importance of Quranic plants, it becomes clear that the necessity and importance of herbs and the fruits obtained from them is proven by the verbal and practical Sunnah of the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him).
