Abstract

The migration of the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) from Mecca to Medina was crucial for establishing a social structure for the Muhajirun (migrants) and Ansar (helpers). The Treaty of Brotherhood laid the foundations for their mutual relationships, marking the start of a cohesive Muslim community. Over time, this led to the establishment of an ideal society, with evolving principles as challenges arose. The Companions of the Prophet later used these foundational treaties to significantly shape the community. Biographers of the Prophet, including Dr. Nasir Ahmad Nasir in his book "The Last and Greatest Messenger (پیغمبر اعظم وآخر)" have documented both the Prophet's life and the principles for building an Islamic society. In this article we have focused to address several key questions: What challenges did the Prophet (PBUH) face in establishing the Islamic society in Medina? How was the new society formed to ensure the success of the Islamic movement? What fundamental principles were considered for the establishment of the Islamic community?

Keywords: Treaty of brotherhood, social structure, Foundational treaties, Fundamental principles, Cohesive community, Cultural integration.
