THE REALITY OF THE DAY OF RESURRECTION ACCORDING TO THE MYSTICS SUFIISM
Abstract
The Day of Judgement (Qiyamat) is a belief among the Islamic beliefs, which can be discussed under different titles, what is a partial Qiyamat? When will Qiyamat be? what will happen on Qiyamat? etc. However, in this article, the reality of Qiyamat is discussed from the perspective of the mystics (arifs). Every Muslim, rather every believer of a divine religion, believes that Qiyamat will occur. On the day of Qiyamat, will only the souls be gathered, or will the souls with the bodies be gathered?
In Quranic verses, two proofs of Qiyamat are given, one of which is that a human will be resurrected with his body. Whereas the view of the mystics is that a human is progressing moment by moment, second by second, towards a higher state. In this state, the veils from reality are being lifted for him. Similarly, on the day of Qiyamat, all the veils will be removed from humans. All realities will not be hidden from him, but will be witnessed by him. On the Day of Judgement, the inner self will become manifest. The mystics call this meaning "in-salah ma'nawi" (spiritual transformation). Whereas, when the soul creates a connection with the material body, ends it, and then creates a connection with another material body, that is "tanasukh" (transmigration of souls), which is a false belief. In this article, the perspective and view of the mystics will be explained.
