Abstract

Marriage is a sacred contract and a bond blessed by Allah Almighty, built on a foundation of mutual respect, understanding, and love. However, in modern times, the rate of divorce is rapidly increasing, leading to the breakdown of marital relationships. This phenomenon not only undermines the sanctity of marriage, which is highly valued in the eye of Allah, but also results in severe emotional, social, and personal losses. The growing trend of divorce is not only an individual problem but has broader implications for families and society as a whole. Various factors contribute to the instability of marriage, such as lake of mutual understanding, emotional disconnection, and societal pressures. In this article the various reasons for divorce are analyzed from moral, social, economic, and psychological perspectives. In reality, the lack of harmony and understanding between spouses is the primary cause of divorce, which leads to the breakdown of marital relationships. The differences in individual habits, lifestyles, and approaches often result in disputes. The economic factors include financial instability, which affects household matter significantly .The lack of patience and compromise in relationships creates issues that escalate into divorce. The consequences of such separations include a negative impact on the family, particularly children, and create numerous social challenges. Hence, there is a need for harmony, mutual understanding, and patience in marital relationships to prevent such outcomes. These are the reasons that lead to divorce, such as a lack of mutual understanding, which not only ends the marital relationships but also negatively impact the lives of the family and children. It is essential to understand these causes of divorce and explain them thoroughly so that an effective system for strengthening family relationships can be established.
