The Evolution of Ancient and Modern Social Communication, Its Impact on Society, and Solutions in the Light of Islamic Teachings: A Research Review
Abstract
Man is a social creature who has always been depended on relationships and communication for his survival and development. From ancient times to today's modern digital age, there have been significant changes in the means and methods of social interaction. Initially, human communication was limited to tribal and family systems, in which traditions, culture and interpersonal relationships played a fundamental role. Over time, writing, messaging, printing, telephones and mass media expanded the scope of human communication. In today's era, social media, the Internet and modern technology have not only developed social relations on a global scale but have also deepened their effects.
While these changes promote social awareness, education, business and worldly connections, they also create challenges such as behavior, time constraints, mental stress, weakening of the family system and decline of moral values. Therefore, it is necessary to conduct a research review of ancient and modern trends in social communication and analyze their effects in the light of Islamic teachings.
Islam, which is a religion of nature, teaches to establish social relations on the principles of moderation, justice, benevolence and morality. In the Quran and Sunnah, human relations are based on piety, brotherhood and the spirit of goodness. Applying Islamic principles to solve complex social problems of the modern era is the need of the hour. This research is being conducted with the aim of understanding the evolution of ancient and modern social communication, analyzing its positive and negative effects, and presenting a practical outline of social creativity guided by Islam.
