WOMEN'S RESPONSIBILITY AND CHALLENGES OF THE CONTEMPORARY ERA IN THE VIEWS OF ALLAMA MUHAMMAD IQBAL: A RESEARCH STUDY
Abstract
Jurisprudence Alauddin Ibn Masood ibn Ahmad Hanafi was a distinguished jurist. Allama Muhammad Iqbal, in his poetry, highlights the duties and responsibilities of women, as well as the challenges of the contemporary era in this regard. So what are their obligations and what are the challenges faced by them in the current era, in the views of Iqbal? This research will answer this question. According to Iqbal, the first duty of women is to play their role as mothers in children's training. While the second duty is to keep her honour and remain decent and modest. And the third duty is to face the challenges of the modern world, which can put her away from performing her duties as a mother or having modesty. According to him in the modern era, women are used as a tool, and to publish indecency through women. For highlighting the worthy role of women, he mentioned the example of Hadrat Fatima Radia Allahu Anha, who groomed Imam Hussain Radia Allahu Anhu. Furthermore he discuss as a role model Fatima bint e Abdullah the martyrdom of the battle of Tarabulus (Tripoli); in which she embrace martyrdom while drinking water to the injuries of the battle.
